Mae needs friends. Badly. She stands at the door with her ball, asks for her coat, and then asks to go "out." We go out but instead of playing at our house, she takes off. She goes up the street to other homes. She knows exactly where the other kids in the neighborhood live, and will knock on their door. If they can't play, she moves to the next house. She screams when I make her come home.
Anyone want me to babysit your child so Mae can have a friend to play with?

oh, that is so cute!! Seara is a bit introverted and has never cared for other kids, but Lije is really social so I think he'll be okay. What a darling picture!
Andie can play with Mae any time. We are usually always home. She can come play whenever or I can bring Andie over there so they can play. Andie always loves to play with other kids. No matter how old they are.
That's what I do. I have play dates and that way Emma can have a friends...cause emma will do the same, she'll put her coat on and say: "go"...breaks my heart!
when we get home, you can babysite all four of ours and mae can have a hayday! :)
wish you guys were comin to hawaii...
Our girls could totally hang out!! That is, if we didn't live 12 hours apart. Bummer.
I wonder, you could organize a "mommy lunch" and get some friends together and have them bring their little ones. Make it a potluck lunch so it's easier on the hostess.
A bunch of us started doing that here. Me and a bunch of ladies our age are in the same boat right now...in school with little ones, and we're all dirt poor. So once a month or so we rotate hosting "mommy lunch". When the weather is nice we hold it at a park instead of at our homes.
Just a thought. I tend to get so wrapped up in school sometimes I forget to arrange "play dates" for my girls. So these mommy lunches have been fun times for the kids to play together.
Only if she hasn't been to see her cousin for at least a week!
I will babysit mae and then mae and I can be friends. sound good??
