innovators

Several months ago Jayson got a call to be in a short film for byutv. He's done a few pieces before, but they've never turned out just right. There was always something off, or they didn't quite capture who we are or what we do.

This video, however, is so different. We love it. We really feel like they captured who Jayson is and the essence of J Dawgs. It's 3.5 minutes long, but it's perfect.

Because of changes at byutv, it won't ever air on tv. But they sent us the disc a few weeks ago and told us we could use it once they put it on their website. It went live tonight, so I'm so happy to share it now.

Words don't quite describe how proud I am or how much I love Jayson.

That was AWESOME. I love it! I love that you guys do hot dogs. I admit, I remember standing in the lobby of my office building in Dallas when you called and told me you were engaged...to someone who dropped out of school to start a hot dog stand, and i thought you were C.R.A.Z.Y. but look how perfect your life is now! Great family, great husband and great business - you are GREAT. I miss you! my kids are sick this week, and we're closing on our house next week in ohio...but soon, soon we will get together, because i miss you so much!

Love it! And can you please work on opening a place in NYC? Seriously. I don't know what all the hype is around Papaya dogs or Gray's Papaya or whatever, but they don't even come close to J-Dawg.

Nice video! I went to jdawgs website to see what you guys had to offer. Don't know if you have thought of this but I love creamy horseradish on my hotdogs! It sounds weird but is oh so good!

I know I don't know your hubby, but if that video was a glimpse as to who he is, then YES! You ARE one lucky lady. He's pretty darn amazing...and full of courage to start the stand how he did! It's a great story.

Hi Heidi! I came across your blog (again) and loved being updated a little bit. I'm so glad J.Dawgs is doing so well and your family is growing. Your girls are so cute. I'm excited for you to have a little boy - mine is such a momma's boy and it is so sweet to have such a cuddler. I think all boys just love their mommas in a special way. Anyway, I also just love reading your blog. You have such a refreshing outlook on life. I love your list of why you are having a third baby. He is one lucky baby! I wish more people had that enthusiasm towards kids. Anyway, know that I think you are wonderful and just wanted to say hello.

Heidi and Jayson I soooo love watching this video... Jayson's smile has brought me so much joy since the day he was born and it is doing the same for his customers! I am so glad you became one of the most amazing "finishers" I have ever known... you are a true inspiration to me... thank you again for one of my favorite life lessons. By the way, Mom and I are really counting the days until we can come see all of "Utah kids and grandkids"... it will be soon after my surgery in May. Love you guys!

I stumbled across this blog. I'd been walking past that shack for years wishing it at least sold cocoa or snocones or something. That first summer y'all opened I ate there twice, if not thrice, a week. Affordable, delicious, (back then) no lines, easy on and off the campus, and Jayson knew my usual. I'm happy to see y'all are now thriving!
