sisters

me and my three sisters--kendra, amy, and shannon on a cruise in 2005.

I love my sisters--blood and in-laws.

That's why when we found out on Monday that we're having another girl, I was mostly excited for Mae. Brothers are wonderful, but who else can understand you like a sister? Who plays with you better than your sister? And when you get older, who is a better friend than a sister?

Mae can't stop talking about her baby sister. Jayson is tickled to have another girl. I'm thrilled too, and can't believe I now talk about the "the girls." I'm already trying to figure out how we're going to do their room (Mae requested pink walls).

I think little Penny/Ruby/Pearl/Baby Horsie (Mae's favorite name) is going to come at just the right time. Growing a family is so much fun.

I agree! I have two sisters, and growing up with both of them was awesome. We hope Abby can have a sister someday.

We're so excited for your little family! I know this 2nd daughter will be just as beautiful as Mae. It's SO MUCH fun to have sets, by this I mean, two girls, two boys, you get the picture. By the way, those first two names, Penny and Ruby, are my two top names we'd use if we were having a girl! but I guess I won't be bitter should you decide to name your new baby either of those. By the looks of things, I may never get my girl. in that case, we can arrange a marriage between your baby number two and my baby boy #4, that way I can at least have a daughter in law with a name a LOVE! It was good seeing you the other day. Sorry if I seemed a bit frazzeled- lack of sleep and bad day with Noah behaving badly. Anyhow, I forgot to ask you exactly when your due date is and how you've been feeling??? Congrats again! I have the perfect book to get you now that you're about to have your 2nd girl!

I LOVE the names Ruby and penny. I tried to get Dan to go for Ruby or Penelope. I mentioned Penelope when we were dating and he vetoed it right away. As you can see he didn't go for Ruby either since we have a little Blair instead but I love those names and I think they sound so great with the name Mae. We are happy for you and I hope you are starting to feel better.

Congratulations!!! I'm so excited for you! I had hoped Lije would be a girl because I love the sisters thing and wanted Sease to have a little sister. But I ended up getting my boys anyway, so things turned out. :)

ps. I like the name Baby Horsie. I would go with it.

Love this! Congratulations--your girls are so lucky to have you two as parents!! It was awesome to see & hang out with you last week, thanks for taking the time out to do it--and! Kendra & I went to J Dawgs today for lunch...YUM. It is now apart of my I'm-in-town-and-must-do-this-in-Provo list! :) 'Twas delicious as usual.

AGAIN: congrats. You are looking fabulous, can't wait for more baby updates...and to find out if Mae's name choice is the winner! haha :)

I love you and am so glad that you are one of my greatest friends. I will help you paint the girls room. I think you should totally go with pink even if purple is her favorite right now!
