hot dogs, anyone?

olympics are over, i don't have any more excuses, right? back to blogging?

ohhhhhhh....

we're just starting our slam-bam-thank-you-ma'am month with j dawgs. we have two months like this each year--april and september. they're ridiculously busy at the shack, as well as catering. we have a manager now at the shack, so its much better in that department. but the catering? oh the catering. this month is off. the. hook. we have more jobs schedule for these next 3 weeks than the rest of this year combined. and i get phone calls daily. can you cater 500 dawgs on friday? 400 dawgs on monday? 1700 next friday? people. seriously.

i'm not complaining. its amazing. but so tiring. and i am trying to pull myself together. and trying to figure out what to do with mae. i really feel strongly that if someone watches my child while i work, they need to be paid. i'm looking for a good babysitter. or daycare. or any place she can go. ideas, anyone?

hot dogs, anyone?

Heidi,
I can seriously watch Mae for you and you definatly do NOT need to pay me. Landen got a new job and is GONE all of the time so it would give me something to do!!!!

I wish I were there so I could help watch Mae (and obviously not get paid)!! As is, I'll pray for you and wish you luck. And call you on a Sunday - which is hopefully less crazy - so you can help calm my fears about YW!

SO glad you're back ... missed you much!

Next year when we're in Utah, I will KIDNAP your daughter as often as you let me. My going rate is a bottle of special sauce. ;o)

I should also mention that my husband and I ate our first JDawg last Friday, when his work went and got hotdogs, he brought me one home since he knows i am a reader of yours. LOL. It was yummy... i might just trade baby sitting for some sauce. :)

I was in your ward at king henry a looong time ago and saw your blog through Jennifer's a few months ago. This past weekend I was visiting my parents and several people in their ward were talking about these amazing hot dogs in provo. It clicked in my mind that they must have been talking about yours so I got back on to check and sure enought it was. Just wanted to let you know that you guys are famous here in central washington!
Also, one of my son's very favorite books is called "Stan the Hot Dog Man". If you don't have it for your little girl (who is adorable) you really should!

Glad to hear everything is going well. I am glad you guys are able to have a manager at the shack to alleviate some stress (although maybe I secretly wish it was me, I still miss the shack...)Sounds like the catering is going better than ever. I am working day shift again so hopefully I will get down to the shack more, and more importantly when you or J are working...

Congrats on the booming business! I need to catch up with J sometime and discuss my recent trip to T.O. in July...
