Dead computer

I've been thinking about my blog a lot lately.

But my computer got the dreaded gray screen of death. Pray that we can
recover all of our data...I can't remember when I last backed up and I
have all of my little brothers mission pictures on it.

So I'm trying blogging by email. This may not turn out how I think.

Truthfully, I'm not complaining too much because no computer means
more time to nibble on these cheeks.

OH NO!! I'm crossing my fingers for ya! When our computer died a few years ago we ended up having to replace the entire hard drive, but miraculously they recovered everything. The technician said if it were a pc, we would have lost everything, but since it was a mac they could recover it all. Phew for us. I hope you have the same luck!

My computer died last year. It was a PC. We were able to recover the hard drive and put it on my new laptop. I was THRILLED, because everything I cherish is on it.

P.S -- That title and a then a picture of little Penny almost made me cry. I didn't want to scroll down and read the blog because I thought something horrible happened.

That's the problem with having such a small laptop because I have to scroll down to see a normal sized page and it's easy to get mixed mesages before you take the time to read the whole screen!

Oooooh man!!!!! I'm so sorry! Our Mac did that same thing just as I was finishing a very large memory book for all of my father's family for Christmas gifts. And guess what - we paid the $85 and crossed our fingers hoping they could "recover" something/anything. We had no such luck and $85 down the drain. We asked them about extending the warranty and Mac doesn't do that because they said it would cost them too much after the third year was up. We are done buying Macs! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you guys!!!

I have always had better luck recovering data from our Macs vs PCs. They have always lasted longer than any of our PCs too... Hope you had my kind of luck and not a similar experience to Denise.
