back to school

it's back to school time around here. can you feel it in the air?

i have always loved this time of year. it always meant back to school shopping, new notebooks and pens, new classes, new experiences, new friends and most importantly, the return of old friends. i really loved the shopping back then (surprised?), but what i really miss now are the classes.

i miss the lectures, the readings, the projects, and the papers. i've been dabbling on uvu's website here and there dreaming of what class i would take this semester. sometimes i even look at degrees and dream about going back part-time.

sometimes, i almost sign up.

I feel the same way! I've been taking classes through UMUC online. They are great, but super expensive. I'm totally getting a masters when we get back to DC.

I feel the same way and can't wait to go back. I got a serious science degree the first time around and now I want to do fashion design or interior design. They are totally artsy and generally don't pay well, but that's what I want. In so many ways I wish I would have done it the first time around. All well.

Sometimes I want to go back too but I want to do it on my terms. I just want to go back to learn. I don't want to have the stress of studying or have any homework or papers. I just want to go back and learn.

I'm with brandi. I want to go back, and take photoshop, or html coding, or something like that where i'd actually use the info instead of say, american history of the revolutionary war.

I am still in shock that its back to school time. I just got here! It's only mid summer! But school is coming none the less. I completely relate to wanting to go back and feel that new class/stuff excitement. Sometimes I wish I could go back in time and do all four years at BYU all over again. It was so fabulous and I'd love to repeat it!

ps. I've been thinking about you lately. You know, with our 5th anniversary and all. I really feel like you were instrumental in helping me marry Sam. You open your doors for me when I was wading in a deep depression, you hugged me and helped me when I could hardly get out of the house, and you encouraged me to go ahead with Samuel even when I was so nervous. Man I love you. Thanks for everything.

You should totally do it! I didn't plan on doing an MBA or any graduate school when I was actually doing my undergraduate. But its so great to be back in school - and the learning is so different when you're a little older and wiser. A class here and there would be really fun!
